SPACE & LOCATION

Whether you go for a free standing tumble dryer, or one that's built-in behind a cabinet to fit in with your kitchen theme, you need to make sure that the appliance will fit.

How much space do you have?

60cm width - A standard tumble dryer will fit your space
< 60cm width – A compact dryer is perfect for smaller spaces – you can even hang it on the wall to maximise your space. Alternatively, if you have a standard front-loaded washer, you can stack a standard dryer on top.

Top-tip: Running out of space? Consider buying a compact 2-in-1 washer dryer combo. 

CAPACITY

Washing machine capacity and load sizes

How often do you run your tumble dryer on a weekly basis?
Less than 4 times a week – if you only do a few small loads per week, a 4-6kg dryer will suit your needs

4-6 times a week – a capacity of 7kg would be ideal and can handle a few larger items like duvets and jeckets

6+ times a week – Select a tumble dryer with a 8+ kg capacity if you dry often 

Top-tip: Try your best not to overfill your dryer, if you leave some room for your clothes to breathe they will dry faster. If in doubt - select a tumble dryer with a larger capacity than you need.
